AMD 64bit Athlon and Sempron CPUs. Whether this effects intel based 64bit flipflops, I don't know...(I've never bought/owned one..ever..)
bootcd (this is how I went at it), and take gcc-3.4.1 => 3.4.3 (and grab patches et_al) and then try again, it seems to be a fix.

In the current book, m4 version 1.4.2 is used, but the versions available from the link on the freshmeat page (specified in page 3.2) are 1.4x (where x is a letter). I found a link to the correct version in the mailing list archives (ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/bison/m4-1.4.2.tar.gz). Please either update the link on page 3.2 to the correct version, or add a box to page 3.2 ala glibc and file. |
