Description

Although the GCC4 patch for Inetutils allows the build to complete, it corrupts the FTP client program. I do not have a suggested fix yet.

Reproduction recipe for those interested in debugging:

  1. Compile inetutils according to the instructions in the GCC-4 branch
  2. ftp ftp.gnu.org [login as ('anonymous')
  3. cd pub (causes a segfault)
