Actually, on second thought, it might be a good idea to mention there at the end of Chapter 5 that if you're hoping to keep /tools around for other builds, back it up *now* because it will be rendered useless for that purpose in the course of chapter 6.

Actually, while Dan is correct in his technical statements, the book (at least currently) doesn't say anything at the end of chapter 6 about tarring up and keeping /tools. The current wording in the book avoids the technical inaccuracies Dan was pointing out and instead leaves backing up of /tools "as an exercise for the reader" at the end of chapter 5.
