Description
ed is a standard part of Unix and therefore no version of Unix would be complete without ed. The GNU version of ed are at ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/ed/.

Even in BLFS, ed is still at version 0.2, not at version 0.5.

Ed used to be in LFS. It was removed because it was considered too old and rarely used.
