Description
From a distribution/security viewpoint there is no reason not to add OpenSSH as part of the default install as it is more or less a direct secure replacement over telnet and the r-commands.
I for one always install openssh on every box I have first thing after installation if it is not in the basic installation and almost every administrator I know of does the same for obvious reasons.
Yours Truely,
Raymond Causton

LFS is a base distribution and openssh isn't really part of that. OpenSSH is already in the BLFS book which is where I suspect it'll remain.. http://beyond.linuxfromscratch.org/view/cvs/openssh.html
