Description
first new release of bzip2 in a *long* time
I've P2'd this as IMO it's not essential for LFS-3.2 but we should probably upgrade immediately afterwards (I wonder if it'll make the install instructions any easier..)

i've tested the bzip2 instructions for 1.0.2 during my QA build and it all works fine. closing all relevant bugs.

Jim, where did this get released? It aint at ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/bzip2/ and r4685 didn't update the package URL :-)

Hi, $subject has been released. Looks like you can use "make LDFLAGS=-static" instead of "make CC="gcc -static" now (in chapter 5). I've just tested it, works fine. It also adds some wrapper scripts like bzcmp, bzdiff, bzgrep, bzless, and so on.
