Description
Hello,
The v3.2 of the lfs book states that if a normal keyboard is being used, the
keyboard file in /etc/sysconfig is not necessary. When booting LFS, this file is used by the LFS boot scripts. I created it with the instructions for the standard us keyboard given as an example, and all is well.
Thanks a lot for the excellent work. It has given me a starting place on a
project and otherwise I would have a lot of preliminary work before beginning.

confirmed that patch was added (bug #230) and loadkeys changed to use the -d switch (lfs-bootscripts 1.9 checked)

Thanks for the bug report. However, this has been fixed already in CVS.
In chapter 6 - configure software you'll now create a defkeymap.map.gz symlink and the loadkeys script is changed to run 'loadkeys -d' instead of having a /etc/sysconfig/keyboard file. The kbd patch you apply has been verified to make 'loadkeys -d' work correctly.
