the digest of lfs-bootscripts-20130515.tar.bz2 is supposed to be 3c3f9b59a51b99ada56f718b0f0b8e36 according to the md5sum file, while in fact it is ec0b94fa79fdcbc1c41f9dbdf2f752fe. The package can be unzipped without any error. (has it been tampered with?)

If you read *today's* version of the book, ​http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/development/chapter03/packages.html, you will find the md5sum matches *today's* version of the boot script tarball.

Tomorrow's md5sum will be different.

The md5sum in the development version of the book changes every day because the boot scripts tarball is regenerated every day and the time stamps change, even if the contents do not.

The stable book's md5sums are, well, stable.
