Description
In previous chapter multiline command can't be copy and paste to terminal. In chapter 5 the charater \ is not anymore part of the line. The cause seems to be how command line have been formatted. I face this issue using epfview 0.1.8 or evince 3.8.3 while reading the pdf version of LFS 7.4

Sorry for the lake of details. each time that a configure script is involved. It seems that for configure script, the \ character is on a second column. For all other type of command the \ character is just separated by a space.
I face the case while building binutil in chapter 5.4 and while building gcc in chapter 5.5. I have face no problem with any other script or command. Each time it's only the section that involve the configure script.

I see what you mean, but we have no way to fix that without removing the effect that the lined up backslashes presents. I suggest using the html version of the book.
We need more info. Which command in which section is giving a problem.
