Description
to save confusion (and make everyones life easier) we should make /etc/profile and /etc/vimrc instead of ~/.bash_profile & ~/.vimrc this would simplify the setup of the system for all users
at the same time we should start proparing LFS for (basic) i18n support eg LC_ALL/LANG & LANGUAGE settings

I don't agree that we should make system wide configuration files. LFS isn't about configuring any software unless it's absolutely necesarry (we rather leave it up to the user to configure software) and if possible only do so on a per-user basis to minimize the global system impact.
