The above comment was a copy&paste from an email, not something I myself do. More info was later sent to lfs-dev list regarding which c++filt was the best one to use (probalby the most up to date one, which currently is binutils-2.13 as it's newer than gcc-3.1 - then again we must check out first if c++filt was changed in binutils-2.13, else the gcc may be better again).

Regarding c++filt, the way I do it is to rename the one from binutils to cxxfilt. I use a sed on the Makefile but maybe
make DEMANGLER_NAME=cxxfilt
works, too. The command could be put in or removed depending on which package is more uptodate.
