Description
Systems with Kaby Lake and newer chipsets (Z270->above) will need this option when the Coffee Lake systems hit the market.
This command basically installs all firmware into /lib/firmware that is included in the kernel tree.

I'm going to close this as wontfix for now. The Coffee Lake cpus will not be available until some time in 2018. When it is needed, we can open another ticket.

I tried this and it is easy enough, but I also looked at the firmware in the kernel (4.12.10) that is installed, It seems to be really old stuff like r128. I do not see anything related to Intel or AMD CPUs.
The firmware location we refer to in BLFS is much more comprehensive and does seem to include the files in the kernel (spot checked).
The total size is only 2.6M.
Would it be more reasonable to just refer to the firmware section in BLFS?
