Description
A discussion came up in lfs-support "[lfs-support] Potential damage of $LFS/tools setting in section 4.2 and 4.3 of LFS book.".
Within that thread, one said that newer Ubuntu/Debian distros do use /tools. This collides with our naming.
1) Analyze if its true that they use /tools
2) If yes, rename our /tools to something else
Suggestions made: /lfs_stage1, /lfs_tmp_toolchain or simply /lfs

Replying to bdubbs:
Before we jump to conclusions, we need to verify the problem. What iso produced this problem?
thats what i wanted to express with "1)" - we definitly need to have a look first before we touch that name.
ISO? Don't know, they talked about Ubuntu/Debian.

Closing as invalid since no one has provided a distro that has /tools by default. I suspect a user error when inatilling /tools and/or $LFS/tools.

Just as a final confirmation (taken in VMWare with Ubuntu Daily):
renodr@renodr-virtual-machine:~$ ls / bin cdrom etc initrd.img lib lib64 lost+found mnt proc run snap swapfile tmp var boot dev home initrd.img.old lib32 libx32 media opt root sbin srv sys usr vmlinuz

Strange :-) Looks like it was a rumor. And maybe the /tools dir the reporter complained about was left there from a previous try doing LFS.
