For users of the kernel's i195 driver, 5.16.4 includes the fix for CVE-2022-0330: A random access flaw in the kernel's i915 driver allows a local user executing malicious code to crash the system or escalate privileges. According to debian that was fixed in https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=7938d61591d33394a21bdd7797a245b65428f44c which is 'drm/i915: Flush TLBs before releasing backing store'. Belatedly marking as high for users on intel i915. Security Advisory to follow.

Now version 5.16.4.
Evidently there was a bug in the ext filesystem in 5.16.2 that caused data loss.
