Description
OVERVIEW: The last command in installing glibc2.3.1 - "exec /static/bin/bash" produces a seg fault and "chroot $LFS" also stops working producing the same error. I had to copy the info, install-info and makeinfo (version 4.0) commands into $LFS/bin alongwith the libfiles due to a compilation error in Texinfo4.4. They were running well.
Actual Result: Segmentation fault(core dumped)
Expected Result: Login Prompt
Build Date: 2003-03-15 Platform: Mandrake Linux 8.1 on an intel pc.
Additional Info: The Core file is attached.

im sure this is due to using old (2.2.5 or earlier) NSS libraries when we move over to pure lfs then it should no longer be an issue

It'll be marked as invalid when I get around the unconfirmed bugs.
The chroot commands currently in 4.1 (and CVS) work just fine.
