Should we put this into security advisory? Though this is more like "safety" instead of security.
(In Chinese we use a same word for "safety" and "security".)

I'm not sure to be honest, I think what we have on the lists might be sufficient. I think making a message to blfs-dev and blfs-support might be a good idea though in any case

I can confirm the effect on a Dell Latitude E6540. In my case, it was blinking white rapidly for about 15 seconds, and then went dark. Upon rebooting the machine, I now have what appears to be a white spot on the upper right corner of the display. Upgrading to 5.19.13 appears to fix the problem with regards to flashing (doesn't fix the display damage but I have an upgraded one I planned to install someday anyway, 1920x1080 is a nice upgrade over 1366x768).
