I'll plan on tackling this on Thursday or Friday.

Check here for release notes: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/releases/tag/v252 it's really well laid out

Two new programs: systemd-measure and systemd-pcrphase. Not sure if these get compiled during chroot or if they're BLFS-only since they're encryption related (so it might depend on cryptsetup)

They are not even in BLFS because both need gnu-efi.

Thank you for checking, I hadn't had the chance to look at those yet

As best I understand they are part of improving support for TPM and Secure Boot, which would be well beyond the scope of the book.
