it's been a while since the last release, so might as well push various accumulated work out. this is purely a bugfix release, and almost all the changes are of the completely boring variety.

We have a dozen of tickets now (including 3 security fixes) and Linux 6.7.1 is out. And we better do an update before Feb to settle other things down before new Binutils and Glibc.
