Alex asked for a proposed front matter layout. I gave one here, but with no reply. Figured if I wanted it in the book, better make it a bug.

All this chages are an aditorial issues, mainly related to move some page up or down.
Only a note from me: The Discalimer/Legal Info always go before the Dedication, under the Copyrigth and ISBN Number.

What I was trying to accomplish with this one is to differentiate the front matter on the printed (PDF?) version of the book with the online HTML version. Some of those things are only good in a printed book. I was looking for a consistent feel for both books to present to the reader following generally accepted practices that you see in just about every text book out there. If the community does not find this useful, then it can get closed as won't fix. Otherwise, a new thread on -dev should be opened. I can certainly do that.
Gerard wants to wait and deal with this one at the same time we deal with the XML changeover.
