Clean Install of 2.6 creates Dynamic Linking Issues with some programs

Description
I have installed with Linux 2.6 and have all but the following packages working dynamicly. Shadow bzip2
I recieve after querey with ldd that that file libaries are not found though I and see them in verbose ldconfig. The above packages compile clean with static linkage.
Please email me if you need more details. Recommend that building from scratch of Linux-2.6.X series be setup as a sperate project. Allso had issues with: syskdeamon package.
By the way installing with standard Linux 2.4.x series then moving to 2.6.x is working and is currently the system I have operating currently.

The book is not dealing with kernel 2.6.x currently, as it is still in beta, not stable.
