Summary: linux-2.4.5linux-2.4.6

linux 2.4.6 has just been released (it's only on kernel.org at the moment, not the mirrors). I'm about to try using it in my LFS build now.

Done. Removed patch needed for gcc 3.0 compilation under 2.4.5 as it's not needed any more.

Decided not to upgrade to 2.4.11 as it's fubared. Awaiting 2.4.12 instead

yeah .12 out, all that's broken is the parport code so far (at least that's what has been found so far). Or do we want to wait for .13?

Summary: linux-2.4.13linux-2.4.14

The Linus (i.e. bog-standard as opposed to -ac) kernel seems to be settling down nicely. I've been using 2.4.13 for a while now with no problems and I built a test LFS system with it the other day. I'll hopefully get around to test-building one with 2.4.14 soon so we can upgrade the book; 2.4.10 is starting to look *old* ;-)

Summary: linux-2.4.14linux-2.4.15

we aren't going to 2.4.15 as there is a nasty little filesystem bug which can corrupt everything. 2.4.16 should be out *very* soon (-pre1 has it fixed and is being checked now)

Summary: linux-2.4.15linux-2.4.16

this one should be clean... it's pretty much the same as -pre1 which I've been running here since it's release
