New environment setting in chapter 5 doesnt work in the build of bash.

Description
The LFS CVS has a change in the environment settings in chapter 5 which is different from LFS 5.0. In my experience this change led to a hang out in the build of bash in chapter 5. The make tests step could not pass successfully but hang out.

Thanks for the report. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the problem, nor can I see how the new environment settings would impact the bash test suite. Not only that, not enough information has been provided, eg: a log of the test suite run, or at the very least, some indication of which individual test hung.
Nevertheless, this issue will soon be moot. Very shortly the book will be moving to make the Chapter 5 test suites strictly optional. Chapter 6 will of course stay as is. Therefore I'm marking this as closed.
