Version increment (2004_09_23) - note that Alexander's patch is now merged (and even credited in the Changelog), so is no longer needed. Thanks Alex!

Just as a quick point of interest. Greg KH has implemented /sbin/hotplug in C.
It's not packaged (yet) though it seems promising:
