Description
We need to explain to the reader how to add entries to /etc/udev/permissions.d/ and /etc/udev/rules.d/ so that, at a later date, they can configure their own devices.

udev(8) gives loads of info about creating a udev rules file, and there are examples in the udev tarball too. Do we really need to duplicate this info in the book? I'll admit that chapter07/udev.xml could do with some major rework, as there's loads of waffle in there at the moment (e.g. all of that "History" stuff), and I think the whole process could be documented more succinctly/clearly.

With the example rules provided in the tarball, the rules we install and the fix for bug 1622, I think there's plenty for folks to learn about Udev configuration.

Add /etc/hotplug.d to the list
