Description
The Spectre mitigation updates previously only at debian (and perhaps ubuntu) are now on intel's website.
Link is https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27431/Linux-Processor-Microcode-Data-File?v=t
Updates for 06-3c-03 which is used for the Haswell example and is now updated to 0x23 [fix the book!], 06-3d-904, 06-3e-04, 06-3f-02, 05-3f-04, 06-45-01, 06-46-01, 06-47-01, 06-55-04, 06-56-02, 06-56-03, 06-5e-03, 06-7a-01, 06-8e-09, 06-8e-0a, 06-9e-09, 06-9e-0a, 06-9e-0b.
Of those, 06-5e-03 covers my Skylake and unlike the version from debian it did successfully do a late update, dmesg still reports one error but successfully updated to 0xc2:
microcode: Error allocating buffer ffffc900032b9000 microcode: updated to revision 0xc2, date = 2017-11-16
Note that I've moved to a 4.14.12 kernel since I tried to apply the debian update, previously I was on 4.9.something.

Treating as High priority because these are CVE fixes, although they may be painful on servers.
