Description

The book reads as follows:

"Install autofs by running the following commands: patch -Np1 -i ../autofs-4.1.4-misc-fixes.patch && patch -Np1 -i ../autofs-4.1.4-multi-parse-fix.patch && patch -Np1 -i ../autofs-4.1.4-non-replicated-ping.patch && make"

It is missing the configure command.
