Andy, I made a mistake and didn't tag this bug to myself. Again, like GConf, this is part of GNOME and is already finished in my sandbox. I will be committing hopefully tomorrow.
Anything listed on these pages: http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/desktop/2.12/2.12.2/sources/ http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/platform/2.12/2.12.2/sources/
should probably be done all at once, it may not matter, but what is the rush? Anyway, I just like to keep everything with GNOME on one release version. As I said, it may not matter, but you're adding changes to the book that are not tested. I'm not sure that is a good thing.
Oh, and we've always kind of just looked at GLib, GTK, ATK and Pango as an exception to the rule. Though, we have been known to back out an update to GTK+ when it broke the version of GNOME in the book.
