information update:
it doesn't work 'that' fine, the TASKS and CALENDAR modules makes Evolution 2.6.1 hang, the other modules (MAIL, CONTACTS and NOTES) works fine

Updated BLFS to Evolution-2.6.2. No issues noted. The Tasks and Calendar modules worked fine for me.

compiled it using the same commandset from evolution 2.4 stated in BLFS and it went fine, the only thing I haven't compiled in is Kerberos support and no exchange/webcal modules installed, but apart from that, it works very fine, no crashes for now
