Description

I'm not sure but if I remember correctly in previous versions of the book those files got created by the bootscript if the don't exist. I can't see any place in the current version where those file get created and without them sshd wont start.

If you are installing into a DESTDIR the keys will not be generated unless you specificly instruct it to with: 

make host-key-force

I'm not seeing this issue, and Joe's reply indicates there is a solution if doing non-BLFS installations.
