Ugh...working on a replacement for my aging web/mail server and just used 2.7.0. Instructions haven't changed any except that Dovecot has been an optional dependency for a long time for server authentication instead of Cyrus (really nice as you only have to configure auth once if you have a complex system). Unfortunately, Dovecot does not provide a client side SASL implementation, but there is no complex configuration required for the SMTP client when using Cyrus, and you have to have Cyrus to build SASL parts anyway...no additional build time arguments required.

We are now at postfix-2.9.1.
Added a note about where to find instructions about running in chroot.
Version upgrade to 2.5.5
