Description
This is a bit of an nagging issue that hasn't been mentioned in a while: Wifi. The thing is, there is no way to set the SSID of the Wifi network you want at boot, and there is no support for encrypted Wifi.
Since DJ is working on the network scripts to enhance them, I would also like to let him take this ticket as well. A good starting point would be these hints about Wifi and WPA:
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/downloads/files/wireless.txt, and
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/downloads/files/wpa-service.txt
They are old, but still useful. What I want this implementation to do is to be able to connect to an public or a secure network on boot, using a value in the network scripts. This might require some change to the implementation of them, but it will work.
I'm going to close this ticket as a duplicate of ticket #2247. It is a shame that ticket has remained open for almost 4 years. I will update that ticket to reflect this one, so nothing in this ticket gets lost
