kde 3.1.1 does not like gcc-3.2.1 and glibc-2.3.1. I was following up on a segfault when I ran into quite a bit of discussion on this issue. There seems to be several work arounds (dropping back to qt-2.1.1)(gcc-3.2.2 and glibc-2.3.2 work also). I have not work through all the different combinations. My view is that LFS will go the gcc-3.2.2 and glibc-2.3.2 immediately after release, so we can hold with kde 3.1 until after LFS releases.
