Current instructions work. Testing report:
1) Printing via CUPS works
2) Printing from GIMP 1.2.5 works
3) Building other applications that use libgimpprint.so (e.g. gimp-2.0.0-pre1)
is not tested yet.
One thing that should be updated besides the version entity:
After the cups restart command, say that "This command may take a very long
time (up to 10 minutes) to complete. Don't panic while CUPS is rescanning the
list of PPD files. The long delay will happen only once."
The printout is still too dark on my HP DeskJet 610C (correctable with the
"denstiy" parameter).
