./configure --with-lcms=/usr does not work as advertised. /lcms/lcms.h is hard coded in configure and is not replaced by /usr/include.

working solution: cp configure configure.bak sed "s|lcms/lcms.h|lcms.h|" configure.bak > configure ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-zlib=/usr --with-jpeg=/usr --with-lcms

hint working solution: symlink from lcms/lcms.h to lcms.h

Configure works with --with-zlib --with-jpeg --with-lcms after you edit configure to remove the lcms/ in the test. You don't need --with-*=/usr

"This is the first beta of a large maintenance release. It completes support of the MNG specification to nearly 100% (PAST, PROM, delta-images, and BACK image+tile are now fully supported). It adds "dynamic" MNG and a few other neat routines, and fixes several bugs. The Delphi mngview sample was updated to show the use of 'dynamic' MNG, and a simplified Kylix port of said sample was added. Another X11 contribution was added."
