OK. Instead of just changing them all, I've converted the root of the url (http://hints.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/) to an entity - hint-root.
So now the URLs in the text look like: &hint-root;hintname.txt
This has two advantages: 1) Easy to change the root if we ever need to 2) It makes those bloody long URL lines a hell of a lot shorter.
OK - I'm taking bets on whether Jesse will complain of over modularisation :-P
