Description
Noted:
"In order for user root to be able to login and for the name root to be recognized, there need to be relevant entries in the /etc/passwd and /etc/group files."
Grammatically, it should be
there needs to be (note the s on the end of need)
or
there is a need to have relevant .... (way ugly)
Best would be "there must be relevant entries ...."

Also noted in the same area is this:
"In order to use the newly compiled binaries as soon as they are installed, turn off this function for the duration of this chapter."
This text could be confusing. It says to "turn off this function...."
This could be implied to have to do something other than what the instructions say.
How about:
The +h directive is used to ensure the newly compiled binaries are used as soon as they are installed, for the duration of this chapter.
