Description

To me, the following text needs some work:

"The ideal way to populate /dev is to mount a ramfs onto /dev, like tmpfs, and create the devices on there during each bootup."

I can't make heads or tails from this text. My initial reading is that tmpfs should be somehow mounted onto /dev. This can't be right. It seems the text is just a bunch of fluff.

Knowing better, I defer that the mention of tmpfs is simply a mention to text a long time ago in the book. Is it even necessary to mention this?

Then we have the issue of "on there during each bootup". This makes no sense. What is "on there"?

I could provide more text if anyone is interested, however, the text currently in the book could use some polishing.
