Description
I downloades the 80MB big .tar file that contains all the cvs versions and installed them all in my system replacing the old ones. The cvs version of shadow doesn't compile. It has a problem in adduser.c , since adduser it's not a programm that I use too much I fixed it myself. But it still has more problems.. when it is compiled and installed all programms (like 'login') cannot find libshadow.so.0 and they don't work. I copied libshadow to both /lib and /usr/lib and executed ldconfig. I also compiled and deleted the sources many times. The only way to solve the problem was to download the stable version of shadow and using it (4.0.0). I hope this helps u to fix this.... I want to tell u that lfs is grat and it's the coolest distribution. BYE Marcelo T

damn. we don't provide a patch. the sed commands should fix the bug in useradd.c. It is possible that you mistyped the sed commands and that's why it didn't work.

no comments on it anymore, invalidating it for now.
did you apply the patch we provide for shadowutils? We considered Shadow-4.0.0 but it has a few nasty little bugs in at the moment. We're waiting for 4.0.1 before considering moving I believe.
