For the record; I've been hearing alot of problems with this latest release. Quite a few seqfaults and so forth. If this is to be upgraded, we should spend a bit more time testing it, imho.

I concur. bash-2.05b causes segfaults during GCC-3.1 installation in chroot.

bash-2.05b has been out for a while now and patches have been created too. Especially ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/bash/bash-2.05b-patches/ might be of interest.
