Description

In the section "Rationale for Packages in the Book", the packages PCRE and XZ Utils contain poor grammar. The description of PCRE should read: "This package provides a library that can be used to implement regular expression pattern matching using the same syntax and semantics as Perl 5. It is a mandatory dependency of Glib, and can also be used by Grep." It currently reads: "This package is provides..." The description of XZ Utils should read: "This package contains programs for compressing and decompressing files. It provides the highest compression generally available, and is useful for decompressing packages of XZ or LZMA format." It currently reads: "...generally available and the useful for decompressing packages XZ or LZMA format." Also, I suggest describing Vim as a text editor (instead of simply an editor), so that it reads: "This package contains a text editor. It was chosen because of its compatibility with the classic vi editor and its huge number of powerful capabilities. A text editor is a very personal choice for many users and any other text editor could be substituted if desired." Otherwise, all other descriptions are articulated clearly and succinctly. Many thanks!

Thanks for the report.

Fixed at revision 9598.

Did not change the description of vim because it can edit binary files in addition to text files.
