Description
Having recently installed LFS from the CVS book Version 20020703, I am now left with a working machine with no easy way of retrieving anything to install on it.
I have no floppy drive on that machine, and though the netwrok is configured
and working I have no ftp or http client.
Would it be possible to include, for example, a simple ftp client (or better wget, though i haven't checked what it might depend on yet...) installation in the LFS book? This way I would have a simple way to proceed for completing my system install.
Thanks for all the hard work,
Philip

This has been discussed before and we decided not to do it due to the enormous amount of network clients. Whichever one we'd choose we'd never hear the end of it (such as why didn't you pick the other program. This one sucks real bad. Security this, stability that etc, etc).
