Description
Andrew Friedley (saai) spake:
"why is bin86 installed in a complete system when it is never used by anything other than lilo's compile during lfs ch.6? I suggest installing bin86 in /static during chapter 6 to keep it from cluttering a finished lfs. Prefixing bin86 into /static would allow it to still be used for the lilo compile, and allow it to be removed along with the static stuff when the lfs compilation is finished."

While I admire the idea, this is not an issue which the LFS-Book should address. Closing bug #376.

Bruce Dubbs spake:
"One reason might be to have if for those who want to upgrade lilo withhout haveing to reinstall bin86 also."
This should be Gerard's decision. Everyone should know my opinion by now - that LILO and bin86 should be sacked.
