New version. Removes the need for the patch and the LC_ALL=C stuff. There is an optional libedit dependency now. I don't know how to handle that.

Changes: Libedit added as an optional dependency. Patch removed. No ftp link -yet- from debian. LC_ALL=C make removed. Added as optional the "--with-libedit" switch.
Fixed in r6993.

I suppose we should just leave the libedit dependency out of the book, as we do with other packages. libedit is intended for BSD, and really screws up an LFS build (as best as I can recall).
